High School Locks Down For Gun Threat (Fox 12 Oregon)

LONGVIEW, Wash. -- R.A. Long High School went into lockdown mode for about 40 minutes while officers investigated reports of guns in the area, school officials said.

  1. Install an On/Off valve. If your paintball tank has a normal pin valve, you are missing out on the convenience of having an on/off valve. With an on/off valve on your paintball tank you can screw in your tank, turn on the valve to gas your gun up, and then when you're done, simply turn it off. When you turn of your CO2 tank, you can shoot the remaining CO2 left in the gun out. Shooting out the CO2 of your paintball gun will make it tons easier to unscrew the tank. One thing that is annoying about pin valve CO2 tanks is that when you unscrew them it will hiss CO2 out and may even ruin your o-ring on the tank in the process. Installing an on/off valve will help your o-rings last longer.
  2. Install an anti-siphon kit to your CO2 tank. Installing an anti-siphon to your paintball CO2 tank will help you get the most out of CO2. The main problem with CO2 is that when it is inside your tank, it is often in liquid and gas form. Most paintball guns shoot horrible when liquid CO2 enters the gun. This will often cause the gun to "freeze up" and have a drop in performance. An anti siphon kit will help make sure that just the gas is getting into the gun. This will improve your gun's performance in terms of consistency from shot to shot.
  3. To keep your CO2 tank scratch free and in pristine condition, you can buy a neoprene CO2 tank cover to cover your tank. It will protect it from dings and from normal wear and tear, and can even help your tank grip your shoulder a little better.

3 Ways to Get the Most Out Of Your Paintball CO2 Tank

To get the most out of your CO2 tank an on/of valve will add convenience. You'll be able to easily turn on and off the air to your gun, and you'll also increase the life of your tank o-rings. An anti-siphon kit will help fuel your gun with CO2 gas, and not CO2 liquid. This will help your gun perform with better consistency. To protect your paintball tank and kept it looking brand new, a neoprene cover will keep your tank from getting scratches and dings from normal use.
